Black Mile is incredible and one of my favorite albums and their best

 

one of the best albums of the decade

 

And it sounds so good!

 

This thread seems to have a difficult time understanding that someone can have a dissenting opinion

 

I’m fine with dissenting opinions, but I like a little more discussion on why. To me personally, it just came off, “you think this sounds good, but it doesn’t”.

 

i mean, i provided examples of actual audio engineers critiquing how the album was actually made and y’all were like “oh so your friends didn’t like it? boo hoo” so yeah, fuck outta here with that lol

 

I went back about 5 pages just to make sure I didn’t miss anything, and I don’t believe I have. You talk a lot about “bad production, decent songs”, but didn’t give any sort of why, posted some gifs making fun of people liking the album, then said, “who cares lol”, so maybe that’s just where we’ll leave it.

 

This thread has been rip roaring drunk for the past week.

 

Think I’m at the point where ABMTTS is towards the bottom of their discography for me. Feels a lot like Simple Math where the highs are few and far between. I still think it’s a good album, but I’ve come to prefer their sound on ILAV, METN, and Cope

 

I've listened to Simple Math and Cope a few times each and never really find anything up come back for

 

I might be an oddball fan. I didn’t really get into this band until COPE, so I’ll always have a soft spot for that one. I much prefer the polished vocals from simple math on, and the clean production style on ABMTTS just strikes the perfect chord for me as far as what I want a rock record to sound like. I enjoy about 5-6 songs on METN, and sparingly come back to it and ILAV.

 

I got into them with Black Mile and like that and all of the first two albums

 

My hopes for 2020:

New record/tour
Live record
Friendships are mended
NSA is finally pressed

In that order. I understand a live record is typically an offcycle release, but I’m the master of this dream board.

 

Saying “I have asked people who work in audio production” is not providing examples hahaha. Come on dude, I don’t care if you don’t like the album but that’s a really silly thing to say.

Are we thinking this is the lead single? Saw some lyrics Andy posted to his IG story a couple weeks ago I didn't grab.

I can't fucking wait for the new roll out. Hope we get really cool artwork for the singles again
