Funny: This older lady and her family and little kids All dressed up nice bought tickets for Manchester Orchestra presents: The Stuffing thinking it was a musical Thanksgiving play. Not funny: first floor and MO merch is closed off until 6:30... And I got here at 4lol. Gonna have to fight for the vinyl and poster
Posted this in the Tour forum but posting here in case anyone doesn't make it down there and wants to watch. Full set video from the Los Angeles show Video quality isn't the greatest since I was way off to the side making sure not to block anyone's view, but think the audio is decent
I remember combing for these full show videos in high school, when the 480p iPhone videos were the best we had. Cutting them up, ripping the audio, and putting them on my iPod. Good job, man. It’s cooler that I was at this show and can see my stupid arms flailing about for most of the show. This post brought to you by Apple Computers Inc. lol
Rumor is ~they gone-gone~. Sounds a bit nuts to me, but, who knows. Would expect an announcement soon.
I got to The Agora around 8 pm and the deluxe was sold out and there was a sign that said something about more being available online at a later date.
They were great tonight A lot of annoying people at the show though lol gotta love the people screaming during the quiet parts! Missed the vinyl as well and couldn’t justify the poster
Yo. The crowd tonight was awfullllll. Stood in the second tier, about third row back when we got there for Foxing. Then this guy, his I assume girlfriend and either his or her mother just decided before MO they’d push into us and take our spot. Dude backed into me twice before the first song was even over. I gave him a gentle nudge. Then he spent the entire night “dancing” like he was one of those wacky inflatable arm men or doing a standing worm. And the Mom “danced” like I’ve seen my 52 year old “dance” to Train. Ha. Which is whatever. But some of these songs def aren’t the happiest numbers. Also every time the girl left she’d just push right by my girlfriend and I. Mid-way through the show they decided to start loudly complaining about the people in the barricade not “being into it.” “Like didn’t you come to see this band?!“ was the exact quote. Also, so much loud talking and unneeded yelling and hooting and hollering during slow / quite moments. I loved when Andy told the crowd to cut out “the 30 year old Warped Tour”. I swear every time I see this band / Andy he has to address the audience for being a bunch of fuck asses. but goddamn was it a good show!
Crowd in my area was pretty cool. I was stage right about 5 rows back. Everyone was bopping around & singing along in a respectful & surprisingly un-annoying way. Liked when Andy settled that other group down with the warped tour comment. He closed out that moment by telling them “You can just do what we did in church & jump straight up & down...cuz that looked reaaaaal cool” haha. oh and they sounded excellent. So tight. So loud. It was fantastic. And the river sounds so much better in context of the full album. Makes you feel like you “earned” it or something.
If you want the rail, be ‘better fans’ and either pay for it or do the work and show up super early. For the other stuff, I guess I’ve been lucky over the years and haven’t had too many terribly timed WOOOOO people.
There was a WOOO during Hot One that was enraging. Definitely some annoying people. And even after Andy asked those guys to stop they resumed a couple songs later. All 3 bands were great though. Foxing has quickly climbed the ladder as being one of my favorite bands to see live. Also, as much as I fucking love METN and the show was great, the encore was even better. Really speaks to how great their new stuff is and how they’ve grown. Also, for those asking, they came on around 9:15 or 9:20.
I cannot believe it's been six years since I've last seen MO headline so last night was one of my most anticipated shows in years. They were unbelievable. I had to move twice though due to the crowd around me. I don't ever recall being at an MO/Bad Books/RAGC/Andy show where Andy hasn't had to address the crowd. Like, what the fuck is wrong with people? That said - as annoying as it is - I'll take a 'WOOO' over people just having non-nonchalant bar-like carried on conversations during a show (which was also happening). I'd prefer neither, tho. I avoided the encore set spoilers so went into it having no clue. Obviously knew they'd play The Gold. Ecstatic I got to see The Silence, which I also figured they'd play. Kind of stunned they didn't play either Simple Math, I Can Barely Breathe and/or Cope.
