I’m one of those that does not love black mile but they’re so fucking good live I don’t even care they played the whole thing lol

plus got colly strings, could not begin to consider complaining about the setlist.

edit: I missed exactly what he said but as they left the stage at the end Andy said something to the effect of “I swear to god we’re working on a new album thank you for being patient”

 

Yeah the end was ‘we are trying our hardest to be back next year with a new record. Pray for us. Thank you for being patient’.

My wife and I basically worship Black Mile, so it was really special to get to hear the whole thing. Every time I’ve seen them the past 5 years or so it’s been maze, gold, silence and no more from the record. When they started in on The Moth and I realized what was happening, I think i levitated slightly.

Reading that setlist did something to me

 

I was thinking if they were going to be a 10 year Black Mile tour next year …personally think it’s their best work and would love to see it

 

10 years would be 2027..which was why I was sort of confused when I realized they were doing it Friday.

 

I can 100% see them doing a 10 year tour for it in ‘27

 

Didn’t they play a 10 year Cope show 9 years after it came out too? lol

 

I was listening to the Black Mile concert film yesterday and damn I want that on vinyl. Hope they end up pressing it at some point.

That version of The Sunshine is sublime.

Question for patreon subscribers- I’ve been a subscriber for ages and upgraded tiers in Sept ‘24 because I saw the highest tier members would receive unreleased flexis as the anniversary gift. Was gutted to later learn that I missed the cut off. Have spent the last 12mos. monitoring Discogs, but didn’t check at the right time of day for the two that have sold, and haven’t seen anything hit eBay.

Any suggestions on how might be able to listen to those two songs- either obtaining the flexis or digitally? Have been trying for a year now with no luck. Truly appreciate any consideration!

I thought their new album was already done... Didnt they do a test run at the Stuffing a couple years ago?

 

Not that I know of. A few years ago they did a show at the earl where they played all the new songs live to see how they were received and how it felt playing them in front of an audience, but that was used as an exercise before recording the record. I'm sure the songs have changed a ton since then - if they even make it to the album.

 

I'm seeing Andy on April 1. I'll just ask him.

 

Personally very excited for this Union Chapel live album.

I went to the Stuffing in 2024 and I swear Andy mentioned that we were gonna get a new album "next year". obviously didnt happen... i really dont care about a live album from any band TBH
