I definitely recommend Sarah’s 2024 album Polaroid Lovers, which deserved more shine as a singer songwriter project.

Last month she released her latest album from her supergroup I’m With Her, very worth checking out if you like more traditional folk music.

 

I adore Sarah Jarosz and now I would love to hear any of the following:

I'm With Her covering Manchester Orchestra
Andy Hull covering Sarah
Sarah and Andy (and/or the band!) doing a song together.

 

Side-shout-out to Sara Watkins and Nickel Creek while we're at it

I urge anyone who hasn't already, to go listen to this Matt Maeson album. It's really fucking good (unsurprisingly).

 

Just gave this a listen and I am only half way through but it is sooo good....so thank you for the rec....also makes me want to go cry but that's ok


He does sound like Andy on some (all?) of the tracks so this is almost like a Manchester Orchestra fill in until they decide to release another album

 

This is so great to hear! I've been a HUGE Matt Maeson fan for the last 8 years and feel like I know nobody else who listens or knows who he is. This is not his first collaboration with Andy. Matt released a side project a few years ago called UserX that has Andy on a song called Headsick.

If you like this album, definitely check out Matt's older stuff. Two great EPs (Who Killed Matt Maeson, The Hearse) and three LPs (Bank on the Funeral, Never Had to Leave, and his newest album) and the UserX side project album is great too.

 

Nate Hussey from AGO is Matt’s touring guitarist this tour too!

 

Yeah i’ve only ever listened to a few songs by Matt Maeson previously but his new album is damn good!
