I’ll say may/June so they can do their summer tour right around the time it drops lol

That comment would sound better in the context of the entire album, tbh

Vinyl production alone will take months. Considering the album isn't anywhere close to being finalized (assuming they will come back after this show to re-work some things) we are a WAYS away from it being released.

They could track instruments live and then overdub and then cut vocals. Honestly a lot of great albums get done in about two to three weeks. Mixing takes about a week or two, depending on the mixer, and mastering is pretty quick. It’s not unrealistic to think this could be coming this year, but I would guess the fall at the earliest with physical media needing to go into production. Also cannot forget marketing campaign, unless they want to shadow drop it all.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

This band will want vinyl numbers to be included. So we are still a ways away from a new album. I think this is a band that would benefit greatly from doing something like this. I still remember seeing them twice during METN and both performances had slight changes to the songs from the recorded versions.

Not how this band operates. They spend a ton of time doing post production. It’s going to be 2025, I’ll eat a shoe if I’m wrong!

Obviously depends on when they finish recording, but summer makes me feel that around this time next year is a semi-safe bet as others have speculated

We reach for the longest shadow

Decided to get a couple FLAC albums off Bandcamp to see if I can tell a difference, and man, if this band is not one of the more fascinating bands to listen to in Hi Res

They mustve seen my criticism of the production of "Cope". ;)

  15. So they “found the heavy” on a few of these but they were major outliers from the rest of the stuff they played to me so I’m kind of doubtful they’ll make any sort of record.

They played what Andy described as the final part of the trilogy as the full band closer which gave me chills then he played a solo “encore” which was also new.

Very curious to see what makes it to record now

How were the songs? I care more about that than “heavy”

  19. So they called them songs 1-12..it started out like more upbeat/traditional “rock” songs for lack of a better word for 1-3. 4 was the one that was like “whoa this is kind of different and like particularly “heavy”. 5-10 were the most similar musically to the BMTTS sound.

Someone I’m with said they thought something had the same chord progression as paranoid android but I couldn’t say one way or the other.

The trilogy ender was very much in the vein of the silence musically and felt the most finished. It was hard to get a feel of a lot of the lyrics, though I’m sure they’ll be changing between now and then.

edit: they played the song from the live stream they did last year? Where prince played drums and I think Tim played guitar and Andy played bass but everyone played the correct instruments for it tonight. That one had a really cool keyboard line Robert was playing

Listening to this record right now with my two week old daughter in my arms, best listen I’ve had of it in a long time.
