  1. Fox Theater? Yeah I’m pretty sure

It’d feel weird as hell seeing some of those acts in a fully seated venue tbh

  2. It is yeah. Last time the smaller bands played a small side stage that was standing room but the lineup is a lot smaller this time so I’m not sure if they’re even using that stage.

Saw them at the Ryman Wednesday and it was kind of weird but my old ass was pleased to have a seat when I needed it lol.

I don’t mind a fully seated show, but I hate a fully seated GA show. Unnecessary chaos

i don’t mind it for the right band. seeing foxing scream seated is odd.

Yeah, lot of people around me did not seem to enjoy his set. Thought he was great though.

kinda disappointed that a quote unquote special show for them was basically the same exact setlist plus one song but oh well. had a good time. kinda weird vibes with the venue and attitude of the people around us for supporting acts but whatever

  12. Agree completely. Thought they were going to do a second encore but I guess they didn’t rehearse anything else?

I feel like if you're the curator of a hometown music festival type thing you'd at least make it more interesting/unique/fun than any other show in [insert city that isn't their hometown]

Even something like bringing the opening acts out on stage to do songs together or covers would be at least something cool even if it isn't much

absolutely. as it is, living 4+ hours away, i doubt we’ll come back unless the lineup is insane. there simply isn’t any reason to differentiate between the stuffing and a regular set in any other city in the country otherwise

Also idk how feasible this is for bands but more bands should change up their setlists regularly throughout a tour. The Mountain Goats never play the same set twice on a tour and I think that's really cool, they always throw in old songs/surprises people weren't expecting and it makes the shows more fun than the same setlist for each show

  16. The only difference between this and Nashville was in Nashville only Eric came out for The Silence but tonight it seemed like every member of the opening bands was out there, which to be fair was very cool.

and no 100 dollars in Nashville

The more production that gets introduced to a mid-level band’s set - the more the set cannot be varied.

I wish it could, truly, but that’s the reality.

  18. The most exciting thing about being a mewithoutYou fan is the different set lists each night tbh

I mean if you plan ahead you can have different programs for other songs. You could have a few slots in the set where a few songs have an A/B/C choice. Love MO but their lives shows are just not for me. Respect that they are amazing musicians but their stage presence is just a turn off for me. I would have been disappointed to travel to the Stuffing after seeing them on another date of the tour.

Hate to be a downer in a thread of fandom, but I feel this way 100%.

Seeing Right Away Great Captain felt like a religious experience to me. Seeing Manchester Orchestra was just boring and they were the #1 band I'd yet to see that was excited to see, I came for them and left loving the Front Bottoms energy (who I'd had seen 5-6 times already.)

Fucking awesome show. They did an incredible job. Sound better than ever. Run like a well-oiled machine. Super tight set. Different acts of the show. What an experience.

If the Stuffing falls on a tour year (2017 and 2021) you’re gonna get mostly the same tour set they are very proud of so Atlanta doesn’t miss out along with extra supporting bands. If you go to the Stuffing on a different year, you’ll get a great mix of fan favorites or an anniversary album play through.

I do wish it was general admission but enjoyed being able to just walk back and forth to the front rather than having to wait in a giant line and fight the crowd. These guys are in their 30s and put on a very cinematic show. It’s going to be a different vibe than some 19 year olds in a small grungy punk show.

I was very happy to get both general and reserved seating experiences. Paris sounded great. Briston was a lot of fun. Slothrust is very entertaining. Andy Shauf sounded good but was a weird energy drop after Foxing who put on another great one. And then the boys delivered and sounded perfect.

    can’t wait for next year.

  23. I thought the sound was weird all night compared to other shows I’ve seen there and especially compared to the Ryman show on this tour which was the best sounding show I think I’ve ever been to. Like it was really echoy? And all the drums seemed like they were too low in the mix or something. I could still tell they were super tight but it sounded weird to me..

    The show was phenomenal.

They’ve never sounded better, ever. Yes, I say that every tour because it’s true.

Was super happy to hear from and meet so many first timers. They really are expanding their fanbase, and only getting better.
