very similar experience at the Dustin Kensrue/Andy Hull solo tour in Toronto several years ago; a truly unbelievable amount of talking during the sets.

side note: i group those people in the same category as the ones who yell “100 dollars!!!” or something like that in between songs.

 

I was there too. I’d say there was more talking during Andy than Dustin. I don’t get why people to that kind of show to talk.

 

Not my story but my brother in law’s. Quite a while ago he saw MO in Denver and said that Andy solo opened. He said that at the end of a quiet acoustic song an asshole heckled Andy, screaming something to the effect of, “You suck, we want Manchester Orchestra.” Andy then said, “This guy doesn’t know who I am,” and when the whole band joined him on stage, said, “Now he gets it.”

 

nice to ‘see’ a fellow canadian here! couldn’t agree more though. that was the worst one in my memory. I moved around several times until I found a quiet-ish spot.

 

The worst I’ve seen was when All Get Out opened for Mae, they tried to play Let Me Go and the quiet part was almost inaudible through the audience chatter.

Still dig this christmas stuff, even if it is slower. Wonder if we will get a volume 2 this year?

 

have they announced set times for the stuffing yet? seems a bit odd if not being only three days out

 

Probably tomorrow or thursday. They posted it the day before back in 2019.

 

I think it's great that so much of the discussion of people being loud & obnoxious at shows was on October 21st, because that's when the tour hit Hammerstein Ballroom and holy shit I've never had a worse experience with crowd chatter.

Doubtful, since they put out Vol.1 on vinyl just this month.
Which, coincidentally, I'm still patiently waiting for >:(

 

A pittsburgh date just popped up, so maybe adding more dates today

 

They added 3 dates:

March 18 - Pittsburgh
March 19 - Sayreville
March 20 - New Haven
