It’s literally called The Million Masks of God Tour. Why is there so much discussion about them playing The Million Masks of God songs.

They’re allowed to play whatever they want

I had a fantastic time at my show and loved hearing all of the songs. Would have loved to hear obstacle.

would have loved to hear a couple more classic good ones live.

felt it was a bit odd they almost played as many black mile songs as they did on the black mile tour. I think there could have been a little more balance in my opinion. But that’s just my opinion. Maybe 65% phase two rather than 85%

Still had a fantastic time and will continue going and look forward to the stuffing.

I don’t think anyone is mad at them playing TMMOG songs. I think people here are just a bit disappointed that they are pretty much ONLY playing songs from their latest two releases after two years of no touring and their last tour being an album specific tour, and it is totally okay to feel this way.

I think that’s all just a circumstance of the pandemic. They’re going out an an album tour that they released over the pandemic.

This thread always finds a way to hit a new low.

  6. I’m glad they’re playing a lot of MMOG songs. I personally wish they would play less black mile songs and more Virgin/METN songs because that’s what made me fall in love with them but I understand that was a different band and a different time.

I’m still happy to be seeing them live twice in a week next month.

It’s an active tour so people are giving feedback on their very recent experience.

X-rays have saved hundreds, maybe even thousands, of lives. Therefore, the band should absolutely feel obligated to reveal setlists before each city. This so-called “bait and switch” is just plain mean.

Good thing some of you guys aren’t Iron Maiden or Rush fans.

People legit rage for hundreds of pages about the setlist for the entire three year tour cycle. :crylaugh:

Do we think they’re gonna play this set at The Stuffing?

I believe they will mostly with a little extra. I do not believe the stuffing will be a 10 year full album play through of simple math.

As someone whose favorite Manchester Orchestra album is METN, I'm bummed about the lack of METN songs on the setlist only because I've never seen the band live before. Don't get me wrong. I love TMMOG and I'm stoked to see a lot of those songs live tonight but at the same time, I'm just a little sad knowing I won't get to hear some of my favorite songs live that I know y'all have probably seen live a zillion times.

For anyone who has already been and had VIP, do you know if there'd be any issue picking up the merch after the show?

I'm going to Boston and Portland next week. Regular ticket for Boston, VIP for Portland. I was just going to ask merch in Boston about the next night, but if someone here knows, that's just as well.

I plan on going to the front in Portland (never seen MO from the rail) and really don't want to have to hold onto my stuff all night.
