Didn't they originally delay this album to this year so they could tour it or am I imagining that? You would think they would want to get out there as soon as it is safe to do so (aka fall) to as many places as possible, but maybe 2022 worked better for a full tour or something.

 

I imagine it's a multi-layered complex thing to start booking a full tour at this time when every other band is trying to book. They took their time with the record and haven't been sitting on it for a tour, possibly just to ensure vinyl could be prepared to make some money. They are usually on 3-4 year cycles and Black Mile was 2017.

I'm sure if it worked out perfectly and they could easily book a full tour and announce they would.

I agree the two teasers for the patreon info on an announcement tomorrow was odd. But we shall see how everything plays out.

Can't wait to see this album live.

 

I'm actually ok with them not having a full tour until 2022. I'm overwhelmed by other tours that have popped up already.

I don’t think people are upset that there are only three dates, they are disappointed that there was a a fair amount hype built up for there to only be three dates announced.

 

They thought announcing a date in the major markets would hold people over for the time being.

 

Three dates won’t hold people over who don’t live in those areas though, to be fair. Like, I get why some people are annoyed. If you don’t live near LA/NYC/ATL the news isn’t exciting at all for you.

 

Of course ramping up touring post vaccine was going to be awkward as hell. If you don’t get that you gotta consider the circumstances.

Three dates is like when artists announce an Australian tour but only hit Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane. Just call it an East Coast tour, lmao. Just call these dates the beginning - more to come in 2022
