I like the last few songs on WOAD, and am even an “Outlaw Pete” apologist, but it’s so lacking in interesting melodies or lyrics and really just sounds like Magic without the...magic. It’s down there with Human Touch at the bottom of my Bruce rankings.

Lucky Town sounds pretty shitty too, and I’m no huge fan of that record, either. I just like it more than WOAD.

 

and the book, good lord. Bruce just throwing shit out there.

I can agree with you though, it’s absolutely lower down the discography list.

 

This album wasn’t quite as immediate for me as Black Mile, but after sitting with it over multiple listens I’m in love. This band’s progression over the years has been really special.

As of now, The Internet is my favorite song on the album, so I think it's a great closer.

Naw, but forreal, I’m not arguing that Dylan point, because I’m not a huge Dylan fan - so I can’t really debate it.

But to see it above so many other records that a lot of people see as his best, shocks me.

There are a good handful of Bruce albums that I wouldn't call you crazy for ranking #1, and Tunnel is one of them.

It would not be my #1, but I don't think it's the wildest take that has been typed out on this website lol

that bit about Tom Joad being a perfect album though.......................
