I’m so impressed after all these years MO continues to get better. Right now, this is my AOTY front runner. Can’t think of another album I’ve liked more in 2021 so far. I don’t think this is my favorite MO album but I enjoy this more every time I listen to it. Still waiting on the vinyl :(

We reach for the longest shadow

I feel like the outro to Every Stone has that emotional outro but not a real vocal melody to go with it, then The Grocery nails it from a vocal perspective, but the whole song is kind of a climax, and Obstacle gives you the quiet beginning that builds to an explosive instrumental aspect as well as an impressive and cathartic vocal performance to go with it. I almost went with the crawl/walk/run analogy, but that would make it sound like one song is better than the other, and they are 3 of my favorite ManOrch songs.

The latter two work so well back-to-back. They basically become one long, beautiful song.

yeah my first couple listens it didn't fully register that the quiet intro of Way Back wasn't the outro for Obstacle. The flow on the whole album is immaculate but those two being back to back is just masterful sequencing.

I wonder if ordering them pizza could convince them to send my order out faster

The pain of living 3 mins down the street from me and ordering the same one as me but not getting it the same day :)

    I hate spoilers. Supporter

I feel pretty on board the Angel of Death, Obstacle, Way Back train.

I do wonder how Keel Timing and Bed Head would be ranking for me had I not played them so much before the album came out. Having the single syndrome for me and those songs are outstanding.

    LIVER ALONE!

    Keel Timing, Obstacle, Way Back.

It’s nuts how I woke up this morning with AoD stuck in my head when I felt that it hadn’t grown on me. I WAS WRONG.

Bed Head would definitely be in my top 3 if it wasn't a single, but it's also the most single sounding song on here, so it makes sense. I still love it and never skip it, which is a testament to how good it is.

Only 1xLP, pretty much confirming the description from their site but differs from SCP’s description of the package (not complaining though).

If you have a dust problem in your place, protect this thing at all costs. The front and back covers are a felt/velvet-like material that looks and feels really nice, especially with how that writing really pops off the track list:

I'd say Angel of Death, Annie, and Let it Storm right now, but that'll change by the end of the night.
