I like your review, Mary! I've always felt like I was a record behind for MO, even with them being my favorite band. BM didn't fully click until the tour, then it was so powerful I couldn't possibly not see how they'd evolved and made a truly masterful record. I think this will be similar for MM too.

I also can't deny that when I read the Albums in Stores thread this morning and seeing MO all over the place, it made me tear up a bit. I remember this band playing to maybe 40 or 50 people PACKED into the front of a bar. Seeing where they've managed to take it - just a proud fan.

I was not expecting how low key the back half of this record was going to be. I like it a lot but that was surprising.

  3. Yeah but remember when @Drew Beringer only gave them honorable mention in 2006? That’s how I know I’m old af now.

Who're the Chorus bands in 2021? I truly don't know.

    Are MO now the 'biggest'?

I see someone else posted but I wanted to ask you. You encouraged people to get deluxe for an apparent reason. Is there something special that we are unaware of in the deluxe edition?

@Mary V Your review was a great read! You brought up a lot of good points that I honestly hadn't considered like about the structure of the album itself and how it feels kinda off. Great stuff.

It feels weirdly empowering to be able to send someone on a lowkey existential crisis lmao

Honestly my musical tastes were pretty in line with AP around 2008/2009. I would have been on the forums for sure had I not been, yknow, 9.

To be fully honest I think I lurked on some threads there growing up

Ha, Manchester Orchestra was my first 18+ show. Think that was February 2008.
