After such a long/ crazy viral marketing campaign, I really tried to convince myself that the Shone record was good.

 

piano wire and bestial are two pretty decent songs that i literally never revisit

 

I haven't thought about Shone in years. YEARS.

And I won't ever again.

 

I might have enjoyed the album more if they got someone other than Count Chocula to sing on it.

 

Gonna miss the preorder if it goes up at midnight. Hope that’s not the case.

 

they will probably say pre-orders live at 10am or noon est on Thurs/Fri.

 

I listen to Shone pretty often and think its legacy was tarnished because people fooled themselves into thinking it was a new BN record. It's a quality record that people see as a meme because of misplaced expectation.

 

I definitely still get Piano Wire stuck in my head every now and again

 

i think that record is a masterpiece. So cool and weird. I still listen to it every now and then

The whole Shone thing didn't end great but that roll out was so fucking cool. I remember being GLUED to that thread. It was so creative and insane the things they pulled off. I do think the fact that it didn't end up being BN was too big of a letdown for some people to get over, but I just remember the roll out being one of the most followed things on this site. That forum was fucking ridiculous.
