I agree with this. However, out of curiosity, what would your thoughts have been if he had apologized and taken accountability instead of denying shortly after the incident?
really depends. if he did the program, apologized profusely, and seemed to want to make a difference and seemed sincerely regretful, that accountability process seems fine for me. of course, what matters most are the victim's thoughts, but lacking any input from there personally that would seem fine to me
