Been playing The Moth on repeat for the last half hour. Really enjoying it.

    I'm ready to dive in.

I can't even remember what The Gold sounds like. Not listening to these singles is the most difficult, and hopefully the most rewarding, thing I've ever done anticipating music.

I haven't listened to it since the morning after it was released and it's still in my head.

I'm with you. Listened to The Gold three times weeks ago and haven't heard the others. Better that way I think!

I'm too neurotic not to listen to singles off of anticipated albums. I think to myself "What if I die before the album comes out? Hmm, I better listen to the released tracks now, before I'm brutally murdered."

    I do not exist.

Yeah, I can understand the fear of being brutally murdered. It's a reality we all must face.

Yes, I might die in the next 10 days but if I make it through those days alive, listening to the album in full is going to be a great experience and one that I'll thoroughly enjoy. If I die, I die. So it goes.

But seriously, when I was in my late teenage years I really thought I was going to die in the near future and I used to feel nervous that mewithoutYou might not release another album before I died. True story. Turned out I just had really bad anxiety.

I thought my death to be imminent since I was a little kid. Always.

I've always been the picture of pretty perfect health, with not reason to believe I was dying.

I fully expect to die before Brand New does anything else though.

Best of luck surviving the next 10 days. I sincerely hope you don't die before then, that goes for everyone in this thread.

I feel like NPR should stream this.

I don't think it will happen, I wish it would though. Fleet foxes streamed 8 day before release on there. (Which would be Thursday)

    It's my mum's dodge caravan

Didn't Fleet Foxes leak really early though?

Also I keep on thinking this is coming out Friday so gutted to hear it's next week, but listening to Simple Math and I finally get what an incredible album it is, Pale Black Eye slays pretty hard.

I've only listened to The Gold and The Alien once each. Nothing else.

If does this stream (and I'm not sure it will) I kind of hope it's not until next week since I'll be up in the U.P Thursday through Sunday.

Yeah. I was told that I can't post mine yet either.

    That's because I don't have the album.

Contrary to popular belief, there IS cell phone service and wifi in the UP so I'm sure you'll be able to listen if it does end up streaming lol. I grew up in Escanaba and make the long drive from Kzoo a few times each year. Enjoy your time up there!

Haha, that's good to know! I've never spent more than a half a day in the U.P, so I am very excited. And I feel like hearing this album for the first time in that environment would be pretty fitting.

I don't think it will stream. Honestly it just hurts first week sales at this point for a band like them. Will they really get a lot of new fans through a site like NPR? Also their streams are poor quality, you want to experience this album in be highest quality possible

Damn I'm so excited for this. I'm not usually a preorder guy, but I cracked and went for it. And for some reason I had like $20 in my paypal account so i only paid $10 for the record.

What would be the best way I could go about turning the single art into posters to hang on my wall assuming they don't release them as 12"? Just find the highest file size I can and take it to Walgreens?

Hmmmmm do we know who did the artwork / who the photographer is yet? It'll be in the liner notes, but...

Mikesbutt guy. I found his portfolio but they all seemed to be decently small file sizes. And The Moth was in black and white on there.

Maybe if I reached out to him to try to purchase them.
