Manchester only played 13 songs, no backdrop, or encore. A lot of people seemed to leave after them and based on what I heard were expecting different too.

Most co-headlining shows I’ve been to, the ‘opener’ doesn’t play an encore. They’re switching headlining roles every night, I believe. My guess is their sets are similar length, maybe a 10-15 min difference for whoever is closing. That said 13 songs from MO is probably around same time length as 18 from TFB.

    Things have changed.

Manchester played before the Front Bottoms each of the first two nights, one of which had them billed above TFB.

Yeah, wouldn’t have thought much of it, but TFB closed the first night too.

Maybe they feel like they have to be fair bc 13 Manchester songs are better than 20 TFB songs.. lol

I honestly can’t fathom MO opening for TFB.

    But that’s just me

If they were billed above TFB then yeah, that would be strange. I noticed all the Facebook Event pages have them switched each night as to who's billed first. I know the Stuffing wasn't part of this official tour, but obviously MO headlined that and TFB only played 12 songs. So maybe they started off this tour with TFB as headliners due to the Stuffing? IDK.

Either way, I wouldn't expect the 'opener' of the co-headlining tour to do an encore.

MO 'headlined' last night, and still only played 13 songs. It appears both bands are getting the same time.

Seeing them on Wednesday in Dallas. A bit disappointed that it's basically the same set we got last year, minus a few songs.

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

Ehhh. I just wish bands with extensive catalogs would do something more exciting. Like play a song they won’t perform over the PA. Keep people there singing along or whatever.

I've already seen The Front Bottoms twice this year, so I wish they weren't co-headlining for those reasons.. plus, I haven't been able to really enjoy Going Grey and to a lesser extent, Back on Top despite really loving the self-titled and Talon of the Hawk when they released.

Seems like I'll get a similar Manchester Set to when I saw them last year, but hey, that was a hell of a set.

Really excited for Brother Bird. Leave It Alone is one of my favorite tracks this year.

I was on the fence about going to this just because it's 2 1/2 hours away from me on a Sunday night, but seeing as both bands are only playing for about an hour and I've seen both at least seven times, I'm probably going to sit this one out.

I like MO more than I like TFB but I wouldn't mind seeing TFB headline simply because their sets are more unpredictable and they change them every night, so every time you see them it's fresh. MO has pretty much been playing the same set for the past year and a half.

as someone who's just gotten into both these bands in the past year, I'm stoked they're touring together. The show is the same day as ETID and the fact that I can see MO and TFB on the same show won out over that

The whole reason I got into The Front Bottoms in the first place is because they opened up for Bad Books in early 2013. Have loved them ever since. If this were coming to Cleveland, I'd no doubt go to it.

This isn't really related but I went to see Julien Baker last year and we told our friend who worked in the music scene in the area to come down to the show. He didn't show up but finally messaged us and asked where we were, we said we were at the show at the correct venue. He responded, very confused, because he's like, I'm at the Every Time I Die show and I'm literally standing right next to Julien Baker! They were playing blocks away from each other so Julien went over to check out ETID before she went on stage. Thought that was a cool story that I had no reason to tell, so there you go.
