I love The Alien. The Gold is the one song on the album I’m kinda eh on. I don’t think it’s bad, but so many of these songs are amazinnnggg

 

I like the alien but could def go witout hearing/seeing it live. It's just blah to me.

I just wanna see Lead or The Grocery. They’ve played these two songs (gold and alien) like every time they are on TV or do a live session. I mean, I get it, they’re singles, but it’d be nice to see something else

 

theres a great live version of the moth available.. to my knowledge they have no played Lead live yet

I think you’ve come to the proper conclusion. I have nostalgia tied to Mean Everything to Nothing, and it’s a close second, but this is easily their most solid effort imo

 

Agreed. I’ve been a casual fan for years but this is the first album of theirs I’ve truly loved front to back.

Yea. I'm in stall right now with what to do with everything I own that has any relation to this group.
I have not been able to listen to much music at all since these stories started to unfold.
Though I can't see myself playing their music again, I can't see selling off or disposing of anything either.

I don't know. Time will tell. That thing is definitely not hung up though. Went to the basement almost immediately.

 

yeah, this is the truth. Their other stuff is great, but this is the best one front to back. The most fully realized album from them.

 

I like The Alien but it’s weird to me that they’ve chosen that song as a single and to play it live on all these shows.

Listened today for the first time in a long time. Probably my favorite album of the year, it just blows me away every time.

 

Visited the MO subreddit today out of curiosity about how they're responding to the BN stuff, and was happy to see that the majority of the posts seemed to be in support of the victims and calling out the fightoffyourdemons subreddit for being awful. Granted, it's a much smaller community than the BN sub but good on them.

 

The Grocery is the best song on Black Mile the end kthxbye

 

It’s insane to me how huge The Grocery feels and sounds. Cope was supposed to be the big rock record but gets smushed by the last 2 minutes of The Grocery. So good.

 

"The Gold" was playing as I was shopping at LL Bean the other day. Pleasant Surprise
