Waterboy reference. I don't think I've actually heard the word used outside that movie?

I'll admit I came in here in a bad mood because that one guys posts about pitchfork are terrible and all the Nazi stuff but yeah I said my piece it's cool thread is moved, people started complaining about the complaining which was ironic but anyway if colly strings doesn't win your little game I'm gonna troll everyone who participated until I get banned

I kind of want to say something about the last few pages of the thread but I don't think I feel totally comfortable doing that so I'll just say I'm sorry if I played a part in upsetting anybody because of the ranking.

I actually haven't returned to this in a few days, but that's mostly because I've been binging on Circa Survive's discography. I think tomorrow will be the night, though.

Man I can't believe how upset people got with BoldTitan.

Album is great. Song elimination was fun. Talk about whatever you want.

The sunshine is the best song due to its simplicity and distilling down how Andy writes lyrics into a 2 minute song.

I'm acting mightier than thou but I think folks need to take it down a notch with their criticisms of other users who are not being callous, offensive and/or obtuse to the thread.

The new Arcade Fire was actually criticised for a lack of melodrama. Go figure.

The ama made it sound like it was more common than that. Where did you gain this insight?

Can anyone recommend some dark synth driven rock music like we hear on the wolf?

That is very hard to say...I think as a whole I want to say The Maze, because as dumb as it sounds it makes me imagine my future hypothetical child and I've never had a song move me emotionally like that with subject material I really shouldn't be familiar with. It is just a really gorgeous song to me and very powerful even though it is an intro and one dimensional.

This album however has a lot of favorite "moments" that really strike me, like when all the music cuts out in the Gold, certain guitar parts in The Moth, The yelling in Lead, The line in The Grocery "You believe it or you dooooon't, now i'm trying to find the right way to get out of here"....In the Silence "There is nothing you keep there is only a reflection....little girl you are cursed by my ancestry"

A lot of songs I was initially turned off by I am really enjoying now, like Lead and Grocery.

    Is Lead still your favorite?

yeah i think Lead is still my favorite but like you said theres a lot of moments that just get to me. The Wolf and The Moth are close seconds but i dont think theres a weak song on it.

the chord progression in the verses on The Grocery is so satisfying I almost can't believe it. The tension that builds when they hit "anyways," "rounds," and "lips" gives me goosebumps damn near every time
