you spent weeks talking about an album no one had heard and when it finally came out you sent the thread into a useless song elimination bullshit

 

These song bracket things are killing my interest in too many threads, there needs to just be a brackets thread or something.

 

I didn't have the album until 7 days before it came out. Not sure where this "weeks" came from. I asked if people would be interested and they seemed to be interested. I even suggested moving it to be courteous. I also didn't start it right when it came out.

Sorry other people are enjoying it and your thread is being ruined. Didn't mean to derail from the detailed discussion going on.

You're just being an ass for whatever reason. I've done everything to try to be accommodating.

 

I'm not interested in coming into a thread for a band I like and seeing it plagued by incessant and meaningless bullshit. It might as well be spam

 

It's all good were all good people that like good music this album is great

 

The irony is instead of discussing the album, people are still complaining that the finished elimination game prevented them from discussing the album

 

I think this album is by and large my favorite vocal performance of anything Andy has recorded and that's saying a lot considering how amazing of a vocalist he is. From the highs in The Grocery to the subtle delivery in the verses of The Alien, he has never sounded better to me. A lot of that has to do with the amazing production. I'm really falling more and more in love with this album. I'm thinking I'll be surprised if it isn't my favorite album to come out this year.

Sorry I've been too busy with keeping up with actual nazis killing people in the USA today to talk about this album

 

The production really is incredible. I think it's amazing they said originally The Moth sounded like a Cope song. That's really hard to imagine.

 

To be fair he asked the thread if we wanted him to make one and many people said yes, and he didn't talk about the album any more than I did or @CoffeeEyes17 did

I've made like three posts in here today, it takes maybe five seconds to make a low effort post, yes I do have 15 seconds to complain

 

not a big deal my friends. i liked the elimination stuff. didn't know it was such a point of contention.

this is still a way good record then i thought it'd be btw.

 

I mean the idea itself is fine but cluttering an album thread with dumb "x song has been eliminated!" Or "oh boy I hope y song makes the cut" is just kinda frustrating for those of us that actually want to discuss the story, lyrics, production, instrumentals, and just the overall album and how it stands in the ManOrch canon. Go to the elims in the band threads or better yet make a thread just for it. Just don't come in here, call everyone "ornery" when we've actually called you out for shitty behavior, then hurl insults at those who are just trying to discuss the album @BoldTitan like I'm glad you're here in this community and all and I don't want you to take this as like, attacking you or whatever, but maybe try to look at it from our perspective.

By the by the story of this album is still fuzzy to me but having the lyrics has helped a lot. I'm just glad it's getting a lot of buzz on some of the bigger publications

 

Literally nothing prevented anyone from discussing the album.

I'm honestly not sure where I was having "shitty behavior" and hurling insults at people. I said one individual was acting like an ass, because they were being a bit antagonistic and grouchy towards people.

I joked about people getting ornery, even using that word specifically to add some levity because people kept fighting over things that didn't need to be fought about.

All I've tried to do was to add some discussion and fun and hope that everyone gets along, asking people's opinions on what they'd like to do in the thread, if I should move it, etc. Trying to be very considerate, and here we are still arguing about it days later.

 

(being five plus pages behind every day and little of it being discussion did dissuade me from even trying to discuss anything but tell me more)

 

The better the album the more heated these discussions get, right? Lol

 

maybe you really thought a ranking would promote discussion, I'd say that's naive and any cursory glances at any thread on chorus where ranking is prominent or an knowledge of what posting on ap was like would show you that rankings are the antithesis of discussion

 

Well, considering this is the only thread I really go on outside of reddit on any website and people seemed interested, I thought it would add some discussion
