I create content for some of your favorite artists

I've attached a lot of my own personal interpretations to the lyrics, which I can't discuss, because, well, they're personal, but damn this record makes me feel things.

Someone on AP once said about There, There by TWY that it makes them what to cry and smash plates in the kitchen, and thats kinda how I feel about this record

For some reason I got car crash vibes from The Alien. Like he lost control, maybe due to the medication or just stress, and ended up killing people which would fit with how the policeman engages him and the kids coming out from school and seeing the wreckage.

Idk, I'm still only three listens in and I haven't really sat down with the lyrics so a lot of my thoughts are based on whatever I was thinking on first listen.

This album feels like a David Lynch movie to me, there's a lot of parts that resonate or make me feel something emotionally even if I don't totally understand what's going on at first. Then you can go back over it and start to put together your own interpretation and discuss with others, ha.

Also I think Lead, SD is kind of an overview song, about multiple characters at different parts of the story. Much less focused on one thing than any other song on the album which would fit with the title.

I think at the very least we can agree that fatherhood and the effects fathers have on thier kids is the foundation of this album.
Nah man, acid is pretty cool. Plus, you can't really do it everyday, not really a junkie drug. So yeah, very confident L,SD is just a coincidence. That doesn't mean I'm not excited to listen to this next time I trip haha.

I can already tell that until fall really hits, this will definitely be a night/rainy day album for me. I mean, it will sound great no matter what time of day it's played, but I think it's almost begging for the sun to go down to really hit like it's supposed to.

I just really need to hear the wolf and the moth live this fall... if they can throw in silence or grocery that is fine as well. I already heard parts, gold, and alien live and they were amazing. This will be one of those shows where I'm more excited to hear the new material than the old... really want to try to avoid looking at setlists

Wolf would be so good live. That one might be my favourite now idk.

MO is usually a fall band for me but for some reason I see this being a winter album. Maybe all the references to winter with the lyrics? Wouldn't be surprised if this gets another huge boost from me next Jan/feb... what if I never stop listening to it up to that point.. haha

That third verse makes the song, the break and then the drum fill and then the vocal harmony really loud and present, so intense

I think I'll be playing this a lot consistently through the remainder of the year, but I do think right around October/November it'll become an almost daily occurrence.

After listening to this back to back for a run early this morning (including my warm up and post-run stretch) I can say this is a great sunrise album.

I haven't really spent much time with this band over the last few years, but this album has massively reignited my interest in them. "The Alien" and "The Sunshine" back to back is my favourite moment on the album.

I need to revisit their last couple of albums before this one, can't remember if I ever even listened to them tbh...

i know a lot of yall have said this is what you wanted SM to be, and I can agree with that, but this album for some reason gave me a newfound appreciation for SM. idk it took a while but it finally clicked.

Only thing I don't like about this album is Andy's line in The Grocery (I think?) where he sings about an equation as if he's giving me a math lesson like I'm fucking stupid or something.

It was like Simple Math all over again.

Wow looks like i missed a lot. Anyways i love the Swiss Army Man/Montage influence at the end of The Mistake. The album is great only been able to listen to it twice so far and both times it wasnt straight through completely uninterrupted so i def need to change that.

Lead, SD and The Moth finally clicked for me. Discovering little elements in the songs is a treat on this album, I almost find something new each listen.

I contend that you can be addicted to something and/or considered a "junkie" and still not do it every day.

Either way, Lead,SD is a great track. I suspect they titled it the way they did just so that we (the audience) have a blatant point of reference for the setting of the story.
