    I do not exist.

    I should have preordered!

One day to go. This time tomorrow I'll be waking up to download the album and then listen to it as I deliver some wedding flowers in the early hours with my wife (who is a florist). Seems like a unique enough first listen.

The stretch of The Alien - The Sunshine - The Grocery might be the highlight of Manchester's career tbh. The way this album flows really is flawless all together though. Listened probably 5-6 times today and I'm very confident that this is the best Manchester Orchestra album at this point.

manchester orchestra + pinegrove tour next year PLEASE

I've wanted it since I was shown them in 2012 because someone thought parts of Recycling sounds like the bridge of Shake It Out and have been hooked since and it's actually feasible now

hmmmmm I'm really enjoying this album but I don't love it as much as I was hoping I would, maybe it will grow on me more. There are amazing parts in every song but a couple of songs have sections that I find a little weak.

I've listened twice. It's better than Cope and Simple Math. I think I liked METN more than this when that was released but I prefer this right now. Biggest question is staying power. METN had absolutely none for me.

It doesn't touch LAVLAC at least yet

The fact that they went for something this different this late in their career and nailed it is really interesting to me. I think that this album will push the band into a different tier for a lot of people, they were always close to bands like brand new and thrice for me but not quite there. This album may be their masterpiece, time will tell for sure but I have a feeling I'm just going to grow to love the record more, especially in the fall/winter seasons.

Got home from my late-night work meeting around 9:15 p.m., made myself a White Russian and put Black Mile on the ole record player. I thoroughly enjoyed it but I can tell it'll be a grower for me. It definitely didn't hit me as hard as it hit a lot of you the first time. Which is fine. Most of my favorite records take a little time to really 'get to know.' I feel like this is the type of album that isn't meant to be great upon first listen but rather requires multiple listens in order to really dive into the depth of it all.

It's funny because when The Alien was released, I liked it, but didn't love it. Now that I've listened to it 10 or so times, I do LOVE it. Same with The Gold. The Moth has grown on me quite a bit too. So, already with those songs I can tell, it just took a lot of listens for it to click.

Upon first listen, The Wolf and The Mistake were my two favorites. I'm sure that will change and can't wait to just keep listening to this on repeat over the next few weeks.
