This was the best season of this show by a long shot. The first two seasons it was always hit or miss but this one was just fantastic all the way through. Lucy was such a great addition. I'd definitely keep watching if the show gets another season but this was also a super satisfying finale if this was it. Man found woman.
Such a great finale to a truly great season. Transitioning from satirizing single life to satirizing long-term dating life really helped the show continue to feel so fresh and vital. I could see them continuing the show and doing a season of married life, but this really felt like a series finale right down to ending on the inverse of Josh at the beginning of the pilot, with it raining on everyone except him and Lucy. It was a great three-year run if it is over, and I'll miss the show, but it went out on the ultimate high note.
I feel like Sunny potentially going on indefinite hiatus bodes well for this show getting renewed as FXX will need to keep more returning shows around
And I'm glad it ended on the note that it did as well. Just wish we could've seen where this show could've gone cause it really improved this year
As much as I'll miss this show, it could not have ended more perfectly, with the titular woman found and that sweet callback to the pilot. Thanks to Simon Rich, Jay Baruchel, and everyone else involved in this series for all the great comedy. It was consistently one of the most unique shows on television.
Yeah not much else to add, not entirely unexpected and had a perfect ending but I'll be sad to see it go, especially since this last season was such a huge improvement over the first two imo
Good news, Simon has a new show coming next year Daniel Radcliffe and Owen Wilson to Star in TBS Comedic Anthology
Sorry to bump but I’ve been rewatching this and season 3 makes me so happy. Alvvays playing at the end of episode 4 works so well and Katie Findlay was the perfect casting for Lucy. Edit: Beach Slang too, damn. This show has excellent music choices.
Yeah, the painting bit was HYSTERICAL. They took the joke and ran with it. I truly think this show was excellent from start to finish.
Have any of you read The Last Girlfriend on Earth? I just ordered it yesterday and am excited to check it out.
