I loved that at the end he just sort of goes back inside her head lmao. I would very likely jump off a bridge.
My ex watched this and told me it sucked so I had her spoil it for me and now seeing people say it was great I feel I've made a mistake. Will check it out still. WHOOPS.
This was so bonkers and I absolutely loved it. When I figured things out, I wanted to say to my sister it's freaking Voldemort on the back of Quirrell's head! but I restrained myself. I could still hardly believe it.
Wow it took a while to get there but once we did.... I liked it. Man I wish the first 45 minutes were better though. Its the only thing hurting this thing. Overall I'd say B/B-... but all in all thumbs up!
I did lol from excitement of the reveal but also because during the scene when they finally show her back and Gabriel is freaking out, he’s got the lil T-Rex arms flailing.
Super thankful for the Red Letter Media review. When I thought this was another random James Wan horror movie, I didn’t give a shit. Instead, it turned out to be a monster movie version of Cassandra Nova from Grant Morrison’s New X-Men, lol. A bit too long, dragged at times in the first half, and took longer than I’d like to really take off. But, when it was good, it was fucking fantastic. Loved the whole Gabriel design.
first two thirds of this were so bad/boring but the real Gabriel reveal, even when I already expected it based on the backward running, was so good. The fight at the police station was wild
After 40minutes or so I checked the reviews (I made sure for once not to see and get swayed) but it was so hokey, and awful, I wanted to make sure I wasn't watching an F level movie I saw the reviews were decent and I was confused! But final act turned the whole movie around
In the very first scenes one of the psychiatrists says “we tried electroshock therapy, but he just absorbed all the electricity!” and that’s all the explanation I needed
Yeah the electricity stuff / explanation I was fine with. If I wanted to nitpick I could ask about the fitting ninja skills but I always like when things are left unexplained. I don’t need or like everything detailed out but, idk, maybe a bit of info on how he’s crazy good at that stuff lol maybe Maddie took karate classes or something when she was younger and he absorbed the knowledge lol
Gabriel’s powers/superhuman physical abilities can easily be explained as him being an actual supernatural entity and not just some biological anomaly
This movie defies logic and that is fine. We don't know how slashers catch up to sprinters. I'm not going to think too hard about any of it.
