It's been like 3 years since I've played arena but the general consensus is drafting is the best way to spend your coins/build your collection rather than using them for individual packs right? I didn't draft too much back in the day.

I'm just using the WG premade deck to play for fun since I don't have enough cards to make a decent standard deck. Might try Historic since my collection is mostly Ixalan - Eldraine

 

correct, since you keep everything you draft, but that said you get a rare wildcard every six packs you open, so if you're only after wildcards it might be better to just buy packs

 

Just draft well, win a bunch, then draft again lol. I went 7/2 going green/white enchantments. Lost to the same card both times. The blue uncommon saga is so stupid good.

 

oh dang I just looked into Jump In, that seems like a pretty fun/cheap way to build a collection, provided the packets skew towards rares/cards I actually want

 

Well it's official, I'm playing every day again grinding for gold lol

Putting in on phones changed everything

 

I have about 12 wildcards. I got a chest of wildcards and it gave me two gold and one mythic. I think I need like 8 more gold wildcards to make another deck.

Fucking rare lands screwing me over.

 

Basically the same as paper magic. Thankfully I ran a 20 Island mono blue tempo deck back in the day that I can perfectly transition into Historic.

 

was on a bachelor party trip last weekend and four of us brought Commander decks, had a lot of fun playing my new Vito deck

 

What was the average length per game lol

The Midweek Magic thing this week is Historic Brawl, which seems fun but I don't have a deck created. After looking at my collection, these are the Commanders I'm looking at:

Danitha - auras/equipment
Sephara - flying creatures
Sai - artifacts
Yorvo/Goreclaw/Questing Beast/Rhonas - different commanders, same style (stompy)
Nissa, Who Shakes The World/Ghalta - ramp
Teysa - tokens/death triggers

Bruenor - equipment
Emmara - tokens/convoke
Trelassara - life gain
Siona - auras

A bunch of these seem fun. Maybe I'll just make them all lol. I used to have an Omnath and Emmara one.

This is excluding Planeswalkers as commanders, which seems boring to me unless it's hyper focused on a specific theme, like the version of Sorin listed above

Nice, I ran almost the same deck when it was in standard, maybe I'll try to throw a version closer to this together. Still have my Hallowed Fountains lol

 

Yeah, I played this in standard but wanted to make a few tweeks. I don't think it's all the way there. It feels like I've been pretty 50/50 with it.

 

They issued a free code for 4000 xp because of the server problems with the new set, code is PATCHUP

I'm so bad at drafting in general lol but yeah I tried drafting an obscura deck and I think I went 2-3

 

I went 0-3 with jund. Just bad bad bad.
