My group would use them when some of the other fuck heads get vaccinated. They’re too busy spending $500 a week on MTG Arena tho
Man I miss even just casual kitchen table magic. The original Innistrad was my favorite set and I had a cool Werewolf deck for fun. Different times.
lmao I logged into my old tappedout.net account and found this monstrosity. All about flipping coins lol MTG Deck: Flip That Coin
been playing a lot of Brawl. I have a 100% win rate against decks that don't have Golos as their commander. I am 0/10 against Golos. lol
New sets sound wild. Didn't see key art for Dominaria United, but its the 30 year anniversary between Capenna and the war. Space themed Un-set Neon Dynasty: Set 2000 years after last set. Streets of New Capenna: A more modern gangster set. Three color slices for each of the families. The Brother War: Mishra vs Urza
Green/White enchantmants https://mtgazone.com/deck/standard-selesnya-enchantments-version-2-february-2022-ranked-season/
It really is a bummer. I've run into even more efficient versions of the same deck. Its like a turn one consession.
Red/green werewolves. There is a human in the deck that gives 1/1 counters equal to it's power. There is a werewolf thats night side gives two 1/1 counters and hexproof to every creature. Once those two get going, it's lights out
ok I did a bad thing I redownloaded Arena just to see my old collection. After I slogged through the dumb mandatory bot matches, I was blasted with free cards (last time I logged in was around the Cat Oven days). I then used every available promo code to get free packs, so now I have a bunch of cards including 8 rare and 4 mythic WCs. But what the hell is alchemy? What is Kaladesh remastered? Is Historic a healthy format? ugh I hate that I signed up again lol
Alchemy is basically a new Arena-only format, I haven't played it but from what I understand it's Standard except they can make more frequent / more tailored changes because they don't have to worry about dealing with physical cards. from what I gather it wasn't very well received. I basically only play Standard and Brawl (which is basically the Arena/Standard version of Commander)
It fucking sucks that you can't build a viable deck with just those wildcards. I've been able to build one deck in six months and probably won;t be able to build again until after rotation. I just grind out coins and do a draft once a week or so.
Yeah i only got to the point of being able to make a few decks back then by doing the daily challenges. I had the mono blue tempo deck and a black vampire deck that were pretty fun but now I don't even know where to begin lol
yeah you really have to save up wildcards for like one deck archetype you really want. in non-Arena news, I had my first Commander night at a friend's house last night, it was a lot of fun. played with a cobbled together deck I made out of my cards/my friend's cards, and then tried out a couple decks my friend had pre-built... and now I have an order submitted to Card Kingdom. so it goes.
I'm kinda glad I don't have anyone to play paper with lol. I bought the 2019 (?) decks a few years back and barely opened them. I threw a few cards from my collection and then tossed a few thousand cards. Some day I'll get to play those decks lol.
yeah thankfully I don't have a ton of Magic cards just because I played a bit in college with like, one modern deck, and then never really kept up with it until Arena came out. I would buy so many more packs if they came with an Arena code like Pokemon does, but I'm sure they never will because they know people will keep buying paper & Arena packs regardless.
I have started and quit playing paper magic like 5 times lol. I don't have any friends here in Florida but I might try to attend a prerelease for the new set because I always enjoyed those.
