only been buying/selling paper, and playing some games in arena. i like mengucci's simic ramp a lot. i'm not good at it, but i like it. trying to learn it is fun though, even if i'm losing more than i'm winning. also it is probably related but i already received my japanese challenger decks (playsets of breeding pool, nissa, hydroid, fight hydra, simic ramp pieces)
The new Ashiok is pretty sick though. If you miss your triggers or responses, it can destroy you too. It’s such an involved deck. I wonder if it’s more tedious on Arena or paper.
oddly im better at the cat deck than i am with simic ramp. the decks rn i feel like have more depth in them than the previous ones ive played. a lot of times im just overwhelmed by the amount of options possible and end up timing out haha

A few of those have some potential to be powerful cards in the right deck, I think. The black and blue cards look good.
i can’t see any of those getting play. ETB effects (or haste) are very important for top end cards right now. Also Questing Beast kills that 5/5 hydra
so i opened 2 eldraine gift editions today and i pulled a borderless great henge, a foil garruk and a goddamn borderless oko, on top of some super cool rares (2x bonecrusher, a foil circle of loyatly) i think this is the most excited i’ve been to see a topless dude in a magic card
I was one win away from Diamond on Arena constructed and then proceeded to lose like eight games in a row. It makes me appreciate how the pros play so much.
also you can also fish for embercleave in the same combat, drawing 2 is huge in a guild that normally dont support it
