Play Design Lessons Learned

 

I’m surprised all three of them got the boot but I think it was necessary either way. I can’t wait to see how the meta shapes up now going forward.

I think Golgari Adventures will be pretty strong

 

Yeah, I think the adventure decks and that annoyingly good cat deck are both strong.

 

I mean, that's a much better response and I respect it except for the fact that if you have been working on Magic for years (or even playing) you can tell just by reading the card how broken it is. It flies completely in the face of the FIRE logic they were employing.

speculating on the negatives this will cause on other eldraine cards.

eldraine booster boxes sales is definitely going to sink so now i wonder if that would cause cards like goose, qbeast, rankle and fabled passage to spike.

 

Oko would have still been good and probably not a problem if he created a food token for +1 and his elk ability was a -2. It’s amazing to me that they play tested it and agreed on giving him two really powerful plus abilities and letting him cost three mana. I just don’t get how they all thought that was not going to be broken.

 

I just believe they don't have good reading comprehension skills.

Do you still play paper? Any good locals for Standard in Jersey? My friends wanna go somewhere together but the locals near me for Standard are pretty lame.

 

Not sure how I missed this. I don't. I still have all of my old cards, but don't have anyone to play with locally. I don't like playing in shops because my past experiences have been... smelly.

 

Been playing a ton of this deck. Got through all of the lower tiers only losing to some wolf decks. Absolutely adore it. Turn three Sephara is pretty much always gg.

I haven’t been to a local for anything since I was like 15. But that’s roughly the same experience we have all had probably, haha.

 

This looks like a cool deck. I loved playing with white weenies on Arena but the last rotation got rid of so many great white cards.
