still cant believe how ridiculous standard is rn. i cast a t2 oko and opp quits immediately. if i were in their place id prob done the same
lol in Brawl you see the commander before the game even starts and I auto concede every time Except yesterday I did kill a turn 3 Oko and they were the one to concede right away lol
Watch Magic: The Gathering Alpha Black Lotus Attack For Lethal in Eternal Weekend Vintage Thanks to Oko
Yeah it's time to ban the guy. Also, we got our first bans in Pioneer (other than the fetches). Leyline of Abundance, Felidar Guardian, and Oath of Nissa were all banned yesterday.
i hope not. there’s so many variables here and banning oko will definitely cause a ripple in the scene but I feel like keeping Oko only makes things worse for Standard. definitely a lesser evil type of thing. but Eldraine booster box might start to drop in price if that happens
I don't think there's anyway he doesn't. His price has dropped like $20 the past few weeks in anticipation of it. Then again, I'd love to see the backlash if they don't ban it
Spent this morning trying to find ways to abuse Syr Konrad. I really like the card and decided to build a mono black deck around him. Not sure if I want to splash blue for some mill hate.
If you get rid of Oko, it doesn’t fix the green problem but it definitely opens up people playing more interesting things that are taking a backseat to Oko fear. It does more good banning it that not. I just hope they don’t ban like Krasis or Goose and think that’s going to fix everything. Also this weekend is the final Mythic and I’m curious to see without Field how many non-Oko decks top 8.
I feel like if Krasis was getting banned, it'd have been months ago. I'm more tired of playing against wolves at this point. Thankfully I haven't seen much Oko lately. Just wolves and Risen Reef.
Yeah green is absurd. Oko, Goose, Wicked Wolf, Krasis, Once Upon a Time, and Nissa. Goose and especially Wicked Wolf won't matter as much minus Oko but honestly, Nissa would be my next one to watch.
the more i read about pioneer the more i want to start playing it. i bought 4 copies of that nissa japanese challenger deck (which gives me a set of breeding pool, hydroid and 4+ copies of nissa, veil of summer, voracious hydra, other simic cards) and looking forward to use it on pioneer/standard
Mythic VI, 63% of the field is food decks and 69% of the field has an Oko in the deck or sideboard. Just as we thought. Absolutely insane.

btw Swift End/Murderous Rider hit an all time low at 7USD. MTGStocks I managed to grab a set for 20 bucks.
Yeah Standard is gross. As an Arena only player, I have no interest in playing right now. I only logged in for the Artisan event over the weekend and Brawl is only once a week on Wednesday nights (wtf?). Pioneer does look fun but unless they bring to it Arena (they won't) it probably won't get me back into paper magic.
6/8 were Oko lol. And there were more Breeding Pools than swamps, plains, and mountains Mythic Championship VI Top 8 Decklists
