Also realized soul scar mage and siren stormtamer are both 1cmc wizards

 

champion of wits and baral are wizards too

 

also, with the leaked wizards, there seems to be a very fun tempo wizards deck brewing. reminds me a little bit of delver

 

What cards are you thinking of putting?

 

well, you have the two wizards spells leaked today, plus those two creatures

add in some lightning strikes and shocks, maybe if another prowess creature is spoiled...looks good

 

dude I'm all about that. I love tribal, and some good wizard stuff would be fun to run

 

As an Izzet player and a lover of Prowess (which btw fucking best be in Dominaria), this news pleases me.

 

I'm pretty sure prowess got changed into an evergreen mechanic (it is not set specific and runs through all of magic)

 

yeah, tempo decks are definitely my favorite. i hate just turning creatures sideways but i'm too impatient for a control deck, having consistent card advantage as well as interaction feels so much more fun to me

 

Yeah I know it's evergreen, but there was literally none in Ixalan which bummed me out.

Gimmie a reason to remake my Temur Miracle Grow again, WotC, I dare thee.

 

When I started playing magic a few years ago I bought Clout of the Dominus and a bunch of other cards that had synergy with the card for 10 bucks and that was pretty much how I found out Izzet was my jam. I have a casual modern UR deck that I love to play with friends.

I haven’t bought a stormchaser mage yet but I’ve been meaning to. A 4/6 with flying, prowess, shroud and haste seems like a fun thing to do on turn 3. And then add in stuff life electrolyze and other tempo cards.

 

Finally been able to do a decent deck on Arena. Azorius control with Kefnet and/or Nezahal as win conditions.

So obviously it’s annoying to play against. I’m only lacking in mass removals but the counterspells are dope.

 

i'm pretty over doing arena until they're done with reboots, at this point i'd rather just play more eternal since i actually have something to gain

Decided on my first brawl commander. Going to use Hapatra. Might not be the most powerful but I like the colors and synergy.

 

I misssed the whole Brawl thing, what is it?

 

Commander, but Standard only and 60 cards. Also, no Commander damage.

 

i’m not too big on brawl, but I have some 1-of’s lying around so that might convince me to make a deck. No one to play with though.
