Whelp, my first draft I got to play, use and ultimate Urza

 

i got urza ultimated on after i got mana screwed and had four lands and nothing but 5 and 6 drops in my hand

...it made us shuffle our graveyards and hands in and draw 7 cards

i couldn't come back but that was still great

best plays of the weekend for me were

actually using the mantis and doing a perfect throw and hitting something, though the other two times i fucked up badly

and losing my first game because my opponent used the "all cards in graveyards are on the battlefield" and had the 4/1 head on table flyer in her graveyard, and i was at 4 life with no flyers. would have won otherwise.

doing a sealed tourney on wednesday with a friend

 

My ultimate was Ajani make X 2/2 cats where X is your life total.

currently 7-0 in Rivals of Ixalan sealed on modo. Still early to tell for sure, plus winning bias, but it looks like the new cards make it much more playable.

 

oh yeah i'm having a lot more fun with this than the old set, i'm prereleasing tomorrow

 

I hope they do something about energy on Monday, or else Rivals will do nothing to shakeup standard.

 

Has the online transitioned to the new system yet? And it is all pay to play? I kinda want to get back into the game, but don't have anyone local to play with. Not sure I want to sink too much money into it.

 

only in a closed beta. nobody really knows how it's going to be but it's definitely going to be hearthstone style where you can grind for cards. also only going to start with block constructed and limited at first too

also this isn't going to get rid of magic online it'll be like a whole new game

just play xmage it's free and works pretty well
