Wow. So they don't lose the counter if you bounce that card. That can be pretty nifty with some bounce or exile/return stuff.
Getting back into this after a long (too) break. I think I lost my white/green deck which was stacked with some gnarly angels though.
Well check out that fancy new type line! Legendary Planeswalker — Jace. You must have many questions. Let's pec away at them. Starting with this set, all planeswalkers past, present, and future will have the supertype legendary. They will also be subject to the "legend rule." The "planeswalker uniqueness rule" is going away. What does this mean? In short, everything that's true about legendary creatures will now be true about legendary planeswalkers. Under the new rules, if a player controls more than one legendary planeswalker with the same name, that player chooses one and puts the other into their owner's graveyard. This means that if you control Jace, Unraveler of Secrets and cast Jace, Cunning Castaway, both Jaces can exist under your control. Planeswalkers will continue to have planeswalker types (Jace, Nissa, Bolas, and so on). However, those subtypes won't be used by any rule to determine what a player can retain control of. Cards like Jace's Defeat will continue to be able to refer to those subtypes. i knew about the legendary change but the uniqueness rule? WHOA. that changes deckbuilding a ton going back in time. gideon tribal in modern might be a thing
Behind the Scenes with the Alleged Ixalan Card Theft jesus i didn't even read this article, i'm shocked they're being so transparent here
You could always play more than on version in a deck, but now you can more than one version in play. Pretty sweet rule change IMO except for its ramifications on the new Gideon.
Oh, yeah. That's what I meant haha - you can now put two different versions in the battlefield. Thanks for clarifying.
Hazoret might get banned. instant speed 3 damage was what this deck was missing from making it OP. I don't know what R&D was thinking.
spell pierce reprint, opt reprint (first in modern), they're really cranking up the power level of spells in the format this time after being a creature fest for so long
Are you in the states? I think the more competitive LGS around here (MTGFirst) does them for 30 or 40 dollars. EDIT: I'm wrong, that's a pretty average price. Was dreading having to (slowly) buy Chandras but this should lower her price a bit, pierce make her a lot worse. I'll still need some for Ramunap Red but not a full set, I don't think. Wish I would have a sold my pierces awhile ago tho.
