I wish more artists were confident enough to have their digital/CD release be a different day than their vinyl release.
Yeah, I feel like the day-of vinyl release is just going to become a pipe dream for most artists, barring some massive new investment in the construction of new pressing plant capacity.

Neither single has done much for me, can’t really put my finger on the direction these songs are taking but idk if it’s my thing
watching her live show, I was getting a ton of 90s rock vibes, Lilith Fair type stuff. Music video for this song definitely echoes those vibes too
Same here. Loved the first lp/ep. This is not my cup of tea. A lot of the new album feels like it’s the soundtrack to the Lizzie McGuire movie or something
“i knew for my own sanity i needed to make something that sounded hopeful – some musical world i could escape to. i watched 10 things i hate about you on a plane and thought it could be fun to make something that sounded like it could run in the end credits of a romcom." "those songs always seemed so sure of themselves. joyful. everything tied up with a bow. a happy ending, that’s what i was craving. needed it more than anything.”
Yeah I read all of those quotes before listening to the new stuff. I think Give A Little is a poppy upbeat song and I love that track. But I’m not into these first singles. I’m not sure what changed. My favorite songs on this record are the outliers I think? I’ve got a friend is largely just acoustic guitar and vox and tells a great story. That and Be Cool are probably my favorites. I definitely like the back half more than the front
for those who have heard the full album, do we know the actual track sequencing? i think the order of the leak is messed up based on the songs that are tagged explicit on Apple Music. it doesn't match between the two.
I haven't forgotten about it per say, and I really am into both the new songs, but I think this shows how the long album rollout only really seems to work for huge superstars anymore. Personally, I think she could have garnered more hype if she packed these three singles into maybe a month or two after announcing the album, doing it this way there has been a lot of dead space between things happening that sure, people tend to forget. That being said, I'm glad it's almost finally here, I'm ready!
