There's so many layers to this song that I haven't processed yet, but it's objectively great.

I hope an album announcement happens soon. And I do hope "Our Love is a Painted Picture" is on there somewhere. I love that song as it is, but I so prefer albums over individual songs to the point that individual songs take on a new life for me when I listen to them in the context of a full album. I don't know how many actually share that sentiment though and it's probably been too long since its release.

This is really, really good. Definitely the most I've liked any of their new stuff in a long time. It's nice to hear some heavy guitar again.

Not sure how I feel about this. There are parts I really enjoy: the heavy guitars, space/ethereal vibes, and the lyrical content. However, there are also moments that remind me of my least favorite parts of Singularity.

Definitely excited for new MAE though.

I just listened to the new song. Holy cow. It's wonderful.

Now I'm listening to Mae in the office for the rest of the day and grinning from ear to ear.

 

Song is great.

However, I've never understood this band since they became a 3-piece. It seems like the last 10 years has been them just constantly in the studio teasing new music, me thinking a new album is right around the corner, with only a song or two released here and there. I'd love to get a proper follow up to Singularity.

No idea. I'm hoping it's not some kind of album release because that means it will be October before the #newmaejams we've been waiting over 3 years for are released.

If there’s 1 thing about Dave that o know, it’s that I multiply whatever he says by at least 3 or 4. “Soon” means 3 years I guess.
Can’t believe OLIAPP was released on JUNE of last year.
I mean isn’t their hashtag #newmaejams 3 years old too?
I not as mad as I sound, just really want a new album..time to listen to the new track again..

I'm betting (hoping) that when the new website launches it will have the preorder info, tour dates, etc. I can't imagine that splash page will be there much longer.

Got an email today from Spartan Records that they're repressing The Everglow, one of my favorite records ever!

Yeah I'd read elsewhere it was going to be coming in the autumn months. I imagine those 'Mae Day' performances are album release shows with something a bit more special.

But who knows?!
