Oh nice! Already forgot this was coming out lol Pumped to listen later when I can Listened to a few songs on their last album and I actually enjoy a lot of what they have going on sound-wise. It's grew on me more for sure
Just started listening to the first few tracks, this is really good! This gets me so excited to see them with The Rocket Summer and hopefully a 20 yr Everglow tour later this year. I don’t have their patreon subscription anymore, does anybody know if they recorded video of these sessions? Any plans to press this? Edit: Just found the link to the video that you can pay for. Now I remember this being streamed last year Schematic Sessions
anyone thinking of going to the show tonight in Annaheim? I don't think it's sold out but I can't go anymore and would sell my tickets for really cheap. like 2005 local show type of cheap. lol
Acoustic setlist for Anaheim Embers & Envelopes Bloom Giving It Away The Ocean Tisbury Lane Soundtrack For Our Movie Suspension
Spent a little time talking to Dave at their merch table after; they’ll be back in the fall to celebrate 20 years of The Everglow. He was under the weather but still sounded great (albeit a little lower than usual).
20th anniversary tour w/ Spill Canvas and a vinyl repress with several different variants according to Dave. New record “The Human Heart” should be out on Equal Vision by then as well.
love this band, but couldn't listen to the Schematic Sessions, the vocals on Anything were just tooo rough for my ears
Nope, just those two. Dave was a little under the weather so he probably could have squeezed in a couple more (I think he got 40 minutes) but I think he kept it kinda safe. Rocket Summer played about 20 songs (full "Hello Good Friend" record sandwiched between a mix of other stuff).
Mae’s set was similar with a couple changes being that they had strings for the first time on the tour. It seemed like Dave still wasn’t 100%. Was great to see with strings/additional vocals. Sun was on their set list but they skipped it unfortunately.
Saw Mae last night and they were great. I was initially bummed when it was announced it was just an acoustic set but the strings and keys sounded fantastic. The smaller venue made the set feel perfect. I got my copy of The Everglow signed by Dave too! I started to get choked up when Dave started the set with Embers and Envelopes. It has been 15 years since I saw them on their farewell tour and at the time never thought I would get to see them again. Last night was a perfect appetizer for the full Everglow tour later this year
VIP looks to include a signed poster, laminate, and two acoustic songs each from Nick (TSC) and Dave (Mae) plus early merch access.
man... at first I was like... Everglow AGAIN?!? but then... One Fell Swoop AND Ace Enders???? And Chain Reaction?!?!??! fuck it I think I gotta go
