Finally got around to listening to the new EP. Love the midway point of Our Love Is Like a Painted Picture. This is what I love about this band, love that build. Also will definitely go to a UK tour if it ever happens
How’s this show been? Missed out on vip but still considering seeing them in Cambridge if the weather is shit and I can’t go to scream fest lol
Preorder up on iTunes with previews for every song Multisensory Aesthetic Experience by mae Multisensory Aesthetic Experience by mae on iTunes
Same, ordered the vinyl from T&N too. Normally spending that much would hurt more but it's new Mae music and I'm too excited to care
Might get the Download + VR stuff and come back for the vinyl, I want as much new Mae music as possible, plus the two hours of in-studio content and live performances sounds REALLY fucking cool.
I'm looking at the pre-orders... can I just confirm that there's a standard version of this album and an extended experiential version? I'm getting confused. In addition, do you need any VR related products to buy the VR packages? How does this cardboard VR thing work?
I was definitely taken back by this one. I was kinda turned off on the first listen. After multiple times through it, it's definitely grown on me. It's by no means a masterpiece on their end, but I guess it kinda serves the purpose of a kick-off song after the album opener... I guess...
Melodically this song's pretty weird and keeps throwing me off - expecting different chords than what I actually hear etc. Makes a lot more sense on second listen.
I have no idea what the experiential album is. They haven't been very transparent about that but the bundle comes with the regular album and I think they experiential stuff might be the meditation tracks. I believe Dave said there are a few meditation tracks(space off of 3.0 being one of them, flow being another) so I'm not too sure. As far as the vr, the bundles come with a cardboard viewer so really all else you'll need is your phone I'm pretty sure
I said this on the thread about the overview but all of the new songs have taken multiple listens to get into for me. Not a bad thing, they're just deeper songs and there's more to digest. This is going to be an album that grows with me over time I feel and I like that because the albums that grow on me tend to be ones that stick with me longer
