Man, this fills me with wonder like a great Mae song should. This is an AOTY contender if the rest of the album is as good as these first two songs. Loving the production too.

So exciting. Love this band, really enjoying that track from a brief listen.

 

Really digging these new Mae jams. Looking forward to the album. “Let it Die” is my favorite so far.

 

Hmm the second single doesn't have that punch, but I can dig it. I hope the rest falls towards the more experimental side though, 5 Light Years still gets me

 

"5 Light Years" and "Let It Die" are both wonderful. I need to hear the rest of this album.

 

Did they announce a release day? I don't think I saw one..

 

I'm really hoping the album has alot of fun riffs like the one on 5 Light Years. What a solid song.

 

Also regardless of what you think of Singularity, you have to admit the riffs on that album were fantastic.

 

Singularity is certainly solid. It just has the displeasure of being a consistent band’s weakest album IMO.

 

I've always said that if Singularity was released by another band and didnt have the lofty expectations of following up an album like The Everglow, it would have been received so much better.

 

But a lot of the songs on Singularity aren't good.... regardless who made them

 

The production was fantastic, though. That’s what gets me. The New songs and even the ep songs are nice and quaint but I miss the bigger sounding stuff on everglow and singularity.
