A vinyl repress must be on its way too. They can’t go on a tour celebrating The Everglow without selling the record itself. I won’t allow it.

    Confirmed vinyl repress is happening?

John // OC now, OH forever.

Confirmed it's happening. Dave let that slip at our date when he was out with The Rocket Summer last month. Multiple variants coming in time for the tour. Not sure on the label, their new stuff is on Equal Vision but I'd expect Spartan to handle the Everglow pressings since they did them previously.

One of the best albums that is more like a story/book from start to finish. Its so good.

Which is unfortunate cause everything they have done up until their last album has been fantastic. Never got into that last one.

  16. I haaaaaated Singularity and morning when they first released, but now they're favorites of mine

For a little while, I might've considered morning/afternoon/evening to be my favorite release of theirs, but I think they botched it a few ways with the (m)(a)(e) compilation/remix...so that's been unfortunate

Between (m)(a)(e) and M.A.E., I'm unsure how much I still trust their creative decisions, but I still can't help but be excited for the new album they've been working on (which I thiiiiink is finished by now, but I'm not certain)

Hard disagree. I was at many of the shows during Singularity and the (m)(a)(e) era and there was far too many people there having a blast to say that “nobody cares”. Their newest album wasn’t my cup of tea but everything from D:B to (E)vening is amazing and worthy of recognition.

I loved singularity from its release. I also own the OG mae trilogy eps but don’t mind the remix that’s on streaming. I really don’t like how they changed the sequence of Evening but that’s really my only gripe.

Their last album was just too out there I guess for me. I need to relisten to it. I’ll always give their new stuff a listen though. Really hoping this new album is a bit more like the Mae I love.

I think it's really interesting when bands write by far their best stuff out the door, when they're too young to really know what works for them and what doesn't

so this and copeland made me go back and look at all the albums that came out in 2005. That year was INSANE. Honestly maybe one of the best years for releases ever.
