Mae’s ‘The Everglow’ Gets New Pressing

I love this album. $60 with shipping is steep though.

 

Just about sold out if anyone wants it I’d jump on it soon.

As long as that brings them money to be able to eventually fund another album or a tour, I don’t see the problem. Just the reality for many past their prime bands.

 

I was curious so I checked Discogs. Looks like it had a pressing in 2012, 2016, and 2018. That would make this the fourth pressing. If each pressing is around 1500 copies that doesn’t seem too egregious.

 

What else would be on your list?

 

May I interest you in Fall Out Boy’s recent FUCT 20th anniversary deluxe vinyl for $200? God I’m still pissed about that. I loathe the company running their merch. Manhead fucking sucks.

 

Cool that this getting a re-press for those who missed it. $45 is kind of insane though! I paid $30 ten years ago for the 10th anniversary. That came with 2xLP and a 28 page, hardcover, foil stamped, art/lyrics storybook. That's literally a 50% price increase (but for less) in just ten years!

Just checked my emails, the Singularity 2xLP was only $30 back in 2019. I even ordered the 3xLP Morning/Afternoon/Evening album for only $35 in 2020 ... but to be fair I think that was a sale at the time, I want to say that one was $50 new. Seems that vinyl discs have gone up by around $7.50 a disc in like the last 5 years. Meh, sorry for ranting, just annoyed at vinyl prices these days.

Glad these have pretty much sold out, that's a good thing for the band at least!

 

Rant is definitely justified. The price for vinyl has increased a lot in such a short amount of time.

 

I would love to get this album but not for $64.

Destination Beautiful is what you are thinking of. There are 26 pressings not including test presses. At least most of the pressing qtys are 200 or less.
