It’s pretty bad. Morbius made $45 million its first 6 days and the two films have roughly the same budget.

 

Most of the reviews say this is not bad in a fun way but based on those line reading compilations this should be a blast.

 

Live your life, but I assure you, it’s just bad.

 

Just watched those line reading compilations and had a good laugh. I can probably wait for VOD now.

 

incredibly funny bit for every needle drop to be a 90s song except for Britney and for Sydney Sweeney to say Cassie every 5 minutes, plus setting a movie the same year That's So Raven premiered and never mentioning it

Besides Ezekiel being the least menacing man on the planet this wasn't that much worse than some other superhero movies, I guess I'm just used to expositional nonsense and hiring actors so you can maybe use them in the future

 

Why would anyone in this movie have seen That’s So Raven?

 

it was for teens not just kids

 

I can't believe this movie seriously introduces the concept of a hidden Peruvian tribe called Las Arañas like whoever pitched that in the writer's room had to be laughing

 

a true accomplishment to have every line of dialogue from the villain of this movie be ADR lol

 

Those bulletpoints are all so insane, and the movie somehow makes them all boring

I’ve seen worse , maybe even in the MCU (Thor 2), but yes this is a mind boggling fuckup.

I had some fun and will enjoy the memes forever.

 

Excited for FX to show this movie once a week just like they do with Thor 2 for eternity

 

Thor one is worse than Thor 2

 

Thor 2 doesn’t understand how the London Underground works so is automatically worse

 

Considering the London Underground doesn't work I think it's just fine

 

Thor 1 and 2 are pretty equal to me in their dullness

 

That's fair. I just think that while Thor 2 tries and fails to do something interesting, it at least tries when Thor 1 is so shallow in almost every single way and the sets are laughable.

Nobody knows how to have fun this movie is so funny

 

cause it was pretty big when it premiered, why wouldn’t they have?

 

I was hoping for more laughs, the only things that really got me were the vehicular manslaughter attempts

 

If the cinematography in the final fight or Dakota Johnson saying that spider venom does have healing properties while sobbing over her dead mom didn't make you laugh, I really can't help you

 

I liked this approach of talking about how deeply flawed the studio system is that results in movies like this, instead of just shitting on the filmmakers and actors per usual

 

The funniest part of the final action sequence was the rapid sequence of all three girls jumping in one by one to help Cassie, each immediately ending up in their own cartoonish “damsel in distress” scenario, just so Cassie could use that unexplained multi-ghost power.

Like, the construction of that one sequence would look exactly the same in the parody of a superhero movie.

 

Also, it was kind of funny when Ezekiel was like, “you can only save one!” Like, why? Just punch Cassie and then all three die. Which was his goal. Instead he stands there while the physical body of Cassie just stood there, completely unprotected as she saved the teens.
