I've not gotten a chance to see this yet but this is very funny. I don't think I've ever disliked Dakota in anything.

She gives birth to Peter Parker, the future spectacular Spider-Man, at the end of this movie.

Which is a sentence that absolutely rules, lol.

When they see how poorly this is doing, Sony should lean into a version of this as a last ditch marketing push.

Remember when people were making fun of Morbius and Sony mistook it for praise and re-released the film in theaters? Let's get that energy going again.

I don’t think they mistook it as praise so much as they thought they could weaponize the memes into additional revenue. The problem is, Morbius just… mostly isn’t bad in a fun, funny way, lol.

The way they leaned into the online chatter around Eddie and Venom as a couple actually did fit, and those movies rule. Unfortunately, I don’t actually think there’s a lane they’d know how to game, as far as selling it as a truly baffling work. But there’s more meat on that bone here than there was during those Morbin’ times past.

(I’d also accept them just going full Gotti in their last ditch push.)

Convenient the writer didn’t mention that she hasn’t bothered to see the film herself yet. Or her quote about how the “teen” girls really bonded and she was just there.

But they’re right, it doesn’t matter what she thinks of the movie, as far as whether a viewer can enjoy it or not. But all of it is way funnier if you view it as her hating the movie.

It is a bad movie, seemingly made for an audience of one. But it’s not the worst movie ever, true. But that’s hardly a goal any movie hopes to be described as.

I wonder if the “Fant4stic Four” press tour went this wild. Don’t really remember, but it had to be hard to put on a good face for that.

Celebrated the end of Madame Web’s release week by picking up Julia Eugenia Cornwall Carpenter’s first full appearance in the comics: Marvel Superheroes Secret Wars #7 (drawn by the legendary Mike Zeck).

    IMG_3035.jpeg

Sydney Sweeney should reprise the character in Avengers: Secret Wars and recreate this scene with… whoever they cast this week as Johnny Storm? Idk, wasn’t paying super close attention to that.

edit: not sure if this is true. But I’m not sure how to compare since it is counting six days vs a normal weekend.
