I didn’t like “The Lost Daughter,” but Dakota was good in that. She’s also very charming in “The Peanut Butter Falcon.”
alright so isn't this an old blind woman in a future chair? what, helen mirren's busy? I haven't seen any trailers, lemme guess. opening portals shaped like spider webs to the multiverse
Just thinking about Cassie’s arc from manifesting Johnson’s irl above-all-this-shit energy, to a blind woman riding in a wheelchair like “lol I guess this is my life now!” Just like that clip I revisited yesterday where Johnson was giving a tour, and there were limes put there by the production team, and she was just like, “oh, yeah, um. I love limes! Sure.”
This headline made me laugh ‘Madame Web’ star Dakota Johnson, 34, says Sydney Sweeney, 26, and her other Gen Z co-stars 'annoy' her | Fox News
Johnson has more good than bad roles, but she has a pretty limited skill set/style so far. Can see it not working for everyone though
i love these films and her performance was fantastic in each. check them out if you haven't seen em! Great stories and acting frome everyone involved.
Maybe someday? My approach to movies is a lil more nuanced than “bad person plays character, so no thank you forever,” but I think it’s gonna remain a lower priority for now, lol.
It was before we knew the scope of his abuse. But I don’t blame anyone for not watching it because of Shia. It is a very good, touching movie.
oh she can see the future or something. that's right tbh i only really remember her from the episode where she sent Spider-Man to go tell his creator thank you
You’ve never read the classic two-part story “Nothing Can Stop the Juggernaut”? Where iconic gay criminals Juggernaut and Black Tom decide they want an old lady oracle to help them commit crimes (honestly, work)? But then Juggernaut gets to Madame Web, realizes she needs her life support chair to survive, decides that’s more trouble than it’s worth, and then plugs her back in and walks away?
This is my only comic book experience with Web but I thought I remembered him just dropping her on the ground
I may be misremembering; I’d have to double check. But either way, the spirit of the moment is very, “oh… this is way more involved than I expected. Never mind, bye!”
@Tim you mind writing up a plot line layout of the movie for Wikipedia? Apparently no one cares to do it and it’s been out three days, I rather read about it then step foot in a theater to see it. Thanks man
