There's no moment in Tim's entire campaign here where I got the feeling that they're insincere about this lol
Oh. The part about how the actual movie wasn’t edited like total garbage isn’t a huge selling point? Haha
My problem with Marvel Studios is that the formula and aesthetic has become stale. If you go hunting, I don’t think you’ll find me initially mad at most “MCU” movies I’ve bothered to see, but I can think of… three and one third movies since Endgame that I’m currently glad I saw and wouldn’t mind revisiting. Sony, on the other hand, does not know what it’s doing. But, outside of Morbius, I’ve been having a good time with that chaos. It’s like reading scans of a forgotten, now-public-domain 1940s comic when it was still disposable pulp produced by disreputable companies, or buying dollar bin issues from 90s Image when hot artists without any storytelling fundamentals tried to create and write their own shit.
Also, I would be shocked if over half of Ezekiel’s lines weren’t dubbed in due to rewrites. You can feel the effort of trying to make this connect.
Sincerely, directly… If that main full trailer looked “stupid (derogatory)” to you, then you will not like this movie and shouldn’t see it. The nuances of editing and dialogue might not be accurate, but the tone is. If the trailer looked “stupid (affectionate),” though, like a good-dumb or good-bad or whatever thing. Then yes. That is what you’ll get.
Contrary to what some people guessed, no, this does not remotely hint at Trouble being canon. Mary talks about Richard, and Ben hints at having started to see May. However, since Richard is off on a trip (that needs can imagine is spy shit). Someone wanting to choose chaos could pretend Mary and Ben hooked up. If that matters to you.
Madame Web is a love letter to the golden age of bad comic book movies Tim might actually appreciate this take on the film.
Oh yeah I saw him tweet that. He’s someone I don’t necessarily line up with taste-wise but generally appreciate his takes.
Dakota Johnson is too cool and classy for this cape shit, and that’s exactly why she was perfect for this. Hope she makes it through the rest of her life having never seen a full superhero film.
