lol fuck yeah, Connor Goldsmith (of the very gay X-Men podcast Cerebro) was at the Madame Web premiere. This genuinely makes me so happy. Can’t wait to hear what he thought.

 

This movie is getting absolutely grilled from the early reviews last night. I might still see it this weekend, but when even the early reviews are this bad that means the only hope is for this to be a "so bad, it's good".

 

“Ignore the critics” is one of the corniest talking points when it comes to movies. But also. Occasionally there’s a genre flick that’s “good” in a specific way, for people with specific tastes, that isn’t gonna line up with serious critical analysis, lol.

I’m not worried.

 

For Tim’s sanity I hope he enjoys this motion picture.

 

Well, Connor Goldsmith said it feels like a 2003 superhero movie in a good way, and David Ehrlich said it feels like that in a bad way. Given some of my tastes/opinions, I feel pretty good!

The editing and runtime (this kinda flick should be under 100 min imo) are gonna be the biggest tests for me.

I’m absolutely not expecting the editing to be “good” and “well-executed,” but I do hope it’s charmingly off, not… off in a way that ruins my fun.
