I can’t remember if it’s Pete or his brother that says it but when they find out she was thrown overboard they just go “She loved the sea…” and it’s one of the funniest lines on this show.
Certainly one of the best endings ever. It is something I appreciate more and more after each show I finish.
I just got to this episode and it’s funny because that scene is very bad but overall I think it’s my favorite episode so far. Season 2 is definitely a step up from the first.
I’m a big Beatles fan so I was wondering how their impact would reflect during unfolding of the show’s depiction of the 60s. The producers would end up paying a quarter of a million dollars for use of Tomorrow Never Knows. When Don sits down to listen to that song and turns it off within a minute, you have to realize of course he wouldn’t care for that.
Finished the series last night and it's just an incredible piece of work. Upset I didn't watch while it was on but also felt I appreciated it much more today. Immersing ourselves in this world was something else. Very glad I came across the Season 1 lighter shaped DVD while thrifting and pushed to start a watch.
