I honestly forgot all about that band/album. Great shout.

 

Really want The Wonder Years or someone similar to bring them over here as support. I'm dying to hear and see these songs live.

 

Think this was my favorite emo debut of last year, even more than somewhere city. The back half of this is nearly perfect. Think the lyrics are some of the best of the new wave of emo bands too

 

Yeah this and Somewhere City were by far my favourite emo records of the year.

I’ve seen them live four times and they are always great!

 

I haven't seen them cause I'm UK based and they haven't hit here yet, and I didn't get to see them when I was in the US last year. Unless they play Riot (I imagine they won't) I might not see them for a whiiiile.

 

Been revisiting this record this weekend. The lyrics definitely present Super Enthusiast as more emotionally complex than the Somewhere City. With that being said, I think that, with regards to intended vision, both records are consistent within the context of themselves, and that makes both of them very solid.

On Graduating Steps, I particularly like how the relationship between the speaker, their environment, and other people is presented. The track does a great job at striking a balance between being too detailed or too generalized to strike a chord with the listener. It quickly invoked empathy in me regarding the defeated feeling that could be associated with a major loss of self-progress.

 

This album has stuck w me way more than I expected. Wish all the slow songs weren’t together haha, but I think problem solved is their best

they were so good in ohio a couple nights ago. they’re always so good. truly an incredible live band
