“Good” is subjective. I always wonder why people with less traditionally strong singing abilities choose to cover songs performed by incredibly skilled vocalists. It’s like watching a drunk guy at a bar try to do karaoke to a Queen song. It just isn’t going to turn out the way they think it will, lol.
I understand the point you're making here. And I am all for restorative justice, remediation, and allowing people to change and grow. But I think that all needs to come with accountability and the realization that a change in behavior is needed before forgiveness can happen. The things MGK was saying are extremely problematic, especially as a public figure with a big fanbase. And just because he isn't tweeting those things anymore and is engaged to an older woman doesn't necessarily mean that he isn't still making those kinds of comments – or even sees them as an issue. Lots of uncertainty here of course, but until MGK shows any real remorse for his past comments then I'll choose not to give him the time of day.
