Hand Me Downs wow wow
edit: ok yeah this one broke me
I'm here for soft rock mac
Give me all of it! What genre of music would you assign this album? That's On Me feels very Beatles to me.
Not sure how I feel about That’s On Me. I wish something with more energy came after Hand Me Downs.
it's gooey mac and cheese
Easy Mac with the cheesy raps
Hands sound like some Odd Future shit lol
not ready for this to be over
because it's the last real project we'll ever get from him and it feels like it's just the beginning of a new beautiful direction
also surf sounds like Jack Johnson lol
Once a Day
Jesus, this is fantastic.
Once a Day is incredibly emotional.
It looks like every song has a music video like the one we got for Good News.
"Hand Me Downs" is the fucking best omg
I’m just a casual Mac fan, but I feel like this is as good of a career-closing album that you could get. It ends Mac’s work on a much more positive note than “Swimming.”
it's really really beautiful and truly feels like a gift. whereas Swimming was much more virtuoso and diverse Circles feels a peaceful, almost meditative kind of an album that's miles away from anything in the pop or hip-hop zeitgeist I can think of. I think it expresses the day-to-day minutae of just trying to be okay and stay alive better than anything I can readily think of
Wow. Just wow.
people are pointing out that the synth in "Woods" could be the same as the one in "So It Goes". I can hear it
thought the same thing
Love how chill this whole thing is.
Woods is my fav
GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY CAR THIS AIN'T A TAAAAAAXIIIIIIII
That's On Me, Hands, and Surf fell pretty flat for me, but the rest of this is great. This is even more "different" than Swimming was, so I'm very interested to see what the general reception to it is. Not a lot of rapping. Really just Mac vibing and showing off his musical chops.
Wow. This honestly is his best album. Can I say that after only one listen?
But holy shit this is beautiful. Complicated, Blue World and Hand Me Downs are my early favorites.
This is beautiful
