$8+ shipping is fucking brutal on a single-LP. For once, I think I'll pre-order the black through Amazon since we have Prime. Bummer though.

Looks like there is a second album started called Hear the Music that he scrapped while re-recording the demos. It's unclear whether or not it will be released as a demos album or not. This was written and recorded in 12 days last November.

 

This is really pleasant, the first half in particular. Love "Shining" and "Nightmare"

 

how does this compare to the early stuff

 

woof, im not sure about this at all. this felt so damn same-y throughout the entire run.

 

it is entirely different lol. basically Five Easy Hot Dogs with vocals. Very minimalist and Beatles-y.

 

Based on interviews, he has zero interest in remaking Salad Days and I'm cool with that. I like his songwriting, so if this is the direction he's interested in, I can catch the vibe. Definitely get it being a little too sparse for folks though
