Funny thing about Go is that it's fucking amazing but the guitar solo is the least reason why it is so

Totally can see how this is disappointing to people that said, I was just jamming to this while thinking, "This is going to piss so many people off."

There's some pretty fun stuff on here, I enjoy it for the most part. I also don't have any care/nostalgia for "the old M83"so I don't feel cheated with this strange little pop record.

Totally reminds me of Daft Punk's Discovery as a whole.

Definitely had to grow on me with each listen, but I really really like it.

Not what anyone was ever expecting from him, but I'm cool with it.

    The 1975.

Also up near the top: Foxes, Anderson Paak, Lights, Vince Gill, Kanye, Mavis Staples, BJ the Chicago Kid, Pinegrove, Donovan Woods, White Denim

    Probably others I'm forgetting.

Nice. Yeah, I'm going back and forth between The 1975 and Parker Millsap at the moment. The new Sturgill is up there too.

Still have to hear Sturgill's new album. And I'm like 25 albums behind on the year already, so maybe something awesome is in there.

Sturgill's is such a deep and interesting record. I think you'll dig it. I constantly feel like I'm falling behind, though.

I've never heard an M83 song outside of Midnight City but just gave this a listen on a whim and loved it. I can definitely understand why longtime fans would be disappointed with it, but this album is the kind of silly nonsense that I love.

Tension sounds like background music for Starcraft, I can honestly picture it playing while I harvest resources.

I sort of disagree. Long time fans probably love this album and "short time" fans probably hate it. And by short time fans, I'm talking about people who only like Saturdays = Youth and/or Hurry Up, We're Dreaming albums.

Saw him play in Houston on Saturday. No surprise, it was great. Some of the songs on here I wasn't initially that hot on I definitely like more now. Walkway Blues, Laser Gun, Go! .... it's a fun record, just never reaches the heights of HU,WD for me.
