M.A.G.S. - Say Things That Matter (August 13, 2021)

This record rules and it needs a thread. Thanks to folks in the the “Albums In Stores” thread for recommending it.

 

It's good

 

This record is something else man. Nearly every song is a hit. The collection of different sounds and influences here work astonishingly well together, that aspect reminds me a lot of the Bartees record

 

Serious Nic Newsham and Forrest Kline vibes in the vocal melodies too

 

Man you should have seen the look on my face the first time I heard Wait (I've had this for two and a half months). What a fucking song that is. The whole thing is great but DAMN.

 

In case you guys missed the interview I conducted with him: M.A.G.S.

 

Bartees Strange and Nic Newsham comparisons are on point. I saw Jason compare this to Hellogoodbye as well and couldn't agree more. All said and done this is great and I'm glad I checked it out.

 

This record is awesome.

 

Listening now. Really like it.

 

This feels like Hellogoodbye meets The Strokes to me.

I’ve been listening to this album constantly

 

Got to see him play tonight in LA. Tons of fun, super energetic. Played 2 new songs that both sounded awesome.
